Industrial Economist (IE) is a business magazine started in 1968 by S. Viswanathan. For over 50 years, it highlighted development initiatives and business events. After Viswanathan's death in 2022, the magazine was revived under Kothari Industrial Corporation Ltd. (KICL), led by Rafiq Ahmed. IE is relaunching in digital and print formats under a licensing agreement. IE will continue to focus on development issues and provide in-depth coverage of ground-level happenings across business, commerce, industry, and the economy.
