Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, laid the foundation stone via video conferencing for Evervan Kothari Footwear Private Limited's Phase II non-leather footwear manufacturing facility in Karur district for Adidas, with an investment of ?850 crore that will generate employment opportunities for 6,750 people.
The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, today (10.07.2026), at a function organized by the Department of Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce at the Karur District Collectorate, laid the foundation stone via video conferencing for the Phase II non-leather footwear manufacturing facility of Evervan Kothari Footwear Private Limited in Karur district. The project, which will manufacture footwear for Adidas, involves an investment of ?850 crore and is expected to generate employment opportunities for 6,750 people.
Evervan Kothari Footwear Private Limited is a subsidiary of the Kothari Group and the globally renowned Taiwanese footwear manufacturer Evervan Group. The company has already established non-leather footwear manufacturing facilities in the districts of Karur and Perambalur.
As part of its expansion, the company is establishing its Phase II manufacturing facility in Karur district to produce non-leather footwear for the globally renowned brand Adidas. The project, with an investment of ?850 crore, is expected to create employment opportunities for 6,750 people. The Hon'ble Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for this project today. This initiative will further strengthen Tamil Nadu's position in the global footwear manufacturing industry while promoting industrial growth, exports, and large-scale employment opportunities in the district, particularly for women.
